Manuel Freitas Pita has more than two decades of background in Corporate and Business law.
He has advised Portuguese and international clients with the running of commercial companies, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, and international agreements, as well as in the shipping area, with a special focus on operations within the scope of the International Shipping Register of Madeira ("MAR").
Manuel has also robust expertise in the incorporation and management of companies licensed to operate in the IBC of Madeira, as well as in providing legal assistance to them.
In 2005, Manuel worked for a European Union’s financing institution in Luxembourg.
Between 2008 and 2018 he was responsible for the course on corporate law and anti-money laundering in the trainee program for the Madeira Section of the Portuguese Bar Association and has been part of the respective board in the mandate of 2020-2022.
Formerly, Manuel Pita was partner at the law firm Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva & Associados, where he worked between 2000 and 2025.
